Can't find DSL modem on FB 7360sl or i'm on wood way?

hello,

where can i find the dsl modem for internet connection? Under interfaces -> devices i can't see it, or i'm on wood way?

I want use the dsl modem to bind it behind on my first router with static ip and take than the WLAN/LAN interfaces to route to this. After them prepare a vpn tunnel interface for pass-through for all internet traffic and route all the traffic to WLAN/LAN. Is missing a kernel modul for it? The bin file vr9-b-dsl.bin for modem i've extract form original firmware of AVM but after reboot i don't find any dsl modem!? Can i take the dsl port on fritzbox 7360sl to connect with static address on the first router at all?

option firmware '/lib/firmware/vr9-B-dsl.bin'

my network config at time ... use wlan in client modus to connect to internet an LAN for home pc connection! But i would like connect with dsl to internet an use WLAN / LAN for clients in home net !!!

config dsl 'dsl'
        option annex 'b'
        option tone 'av'
        option xfer_mode 'ptm'
        option firmware '/lib/firmware/vr9-B-dsl.bin'

here is my hardware output form dmesg

Is dsl_cpe_api0 the hardware connect to vdsl modem? How to use it to take internet connect over the dsl port from FB 7360sl?

thx for any help of you

While it's not quite clear what you're trying to accomplish exactly, the VDSL modem does not sit on the ethernet switch, it can't be reconfigured to speak ethernet either - it's exclusively a xDSL modem. If you need a WAN port, you need to redefine one of the LAN (ethernet-) ports as such (via VLAN/ switch configurations).

dsl0 is Your modem device when it sync up .
ethernet 4 ports + internal port to CPU (6t)
wlan0 in AP client mode with routing require will be possible under default package configuration
wlan0 in AP client-bridge mode will require relayd package installed and its requirements .
And just for the record . If You plan to not use dsl connection there are platforms far faster than lantiq

okay i understand, VDSL Port can't connect to switch port to my first router (Internet) is only for dsl connect. I redefine one port from switch for WAN.

VLAN 2 (WAN/internet)

config switch_vlan
option device 'switch0'
option vlan '2
option ports '0 6t' <---------- 1 Port + CPU WAN traffic
option vid '2'

config interface 'test'
option proto 'dhcp
option device 'eth0.2'

and for the three other ports on switch i wanna use for home net (192.168.1.0/24) VLAN 1
for LAN and WLAN traffic

config switch
option name 'switch0'
option reset '1'
option enable_vlan '1'

config switch_vlan
option device 'switch0'
option vlan '1'
option vid '1'
option ports '1 2 4 6t' <----3 ports + CPU LAN / WLAN traffic

Would data automatic route between the vlans? or i wanna configure this?

Can I implement the configuration like this?

by

hi guys,

i have my configuration work's now, but from the 3 LAN Ports (VLAN 2) only the 1Gbit port work. The two 100 Mbit ports will not distribute IPs when link is up? The FB 7360sl have 4 ports, 2 x 1Gbit and 2 x 100 Mbit

have you any ideas why?

It's confirmed bug on 21.02.xx and master . If You intend to use all ports 19.07.xx is safe bet .

that's no good news ... i had flashed version 19.07.6 but my config backup files will not work after restore this :frowning: and i wanna no configure at startup :rage:
now i flashed 21.02 and my files backup is working.

anyway ... what do you mean would the bug in version 21.02 sometimes eliminated ?

best regards
