Good morning,
I changed the address of my router from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1, I connected the Ethernet cable to the LAN port and I have Internet access, but I can access neither the web interface nor the ssh command line. I have also tried to connect a cable from the router to my PC but I have the same result (connection timed out)
How can I fix this problem?
Thank you in advance,
Mario
Did you have LuCi access before changing?
Have you rebooted your client?
If you did then look at the network settings of your client if it is windows then from command line: ipconfig /all
The gateway is the routers address
Yes, I have LuCi and ssh access before changing and also when I unplug the main router, connected to a LAN port. I have rebooted my client and my router many times, but I always obtain the same result (connection timed out). Typing ipconfig /all from the command prompt displays the address 192.168.1.1 as the gateway. I've also followed this procedure: [[Solved] How to correctly change router LAN's IP address?] but nothing has changed.
How can I fix?
Try failsafe mode. You can directly edit the config file to fix the problem or reset to defaults if you can’t find the problem.
https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/troubleshooting/failsafe_and_factory_reset
I fixed the problem by changing the IP address of the router to 192.168.1.2. I have full internet access but the command opkg update
doesn't work (opkg_download: Check your network settings and connectivity
); also the ping
command doesn't work.
Now that you’re back in…

Don't know if you solved it already. I had a very similar problem.
Mainly I didn't use the correct radio numbers with a wireless bridge. I use an Archer C7v5 and I had the same problem with opkg. After changing from radio0 to radio1 it worked immediately. The C7 numering of the radios is different to (my) other routers. Strange why internet worked very slow with the wrong radios.
Take care, what you use, 2.4GHz or 5 GHz.
