I am having the same issue. and i am sure there is internet in the device, because i enable the wireless and i can browse with it successfully.

Please anything going wrong

The answers are the same, as three years ago.

No it quite different

I read through the solution you gave, but it is not working.

i can ping through the wireless interface of the Openwrt AP device but when i want to download wifidog, it is telling network issue.

I am using device model of CPE210 version 3

If it's quite different, why did you bump this thread?

Make sure your AP have DNS IPs configured.

WifiDog has been unmaintained for about 9 years and broken since shortly after.
There are numerous forks of the original WifiDog repository, where some fixes have been implemented and these seem to be included in third party forks of OpenWrt.

So, with regard to this issue (Opkg failed to download packages), I suspect you need to ask the people maintaining the fork of OpenWrt you are using.

The key debug item is to not "ping", but "ping", i.e. use the dns name, not IP address.

Let's see the configuration:

Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:

ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
