Hello guys, I want to ask regarding my devices. It was on a default setting and I just change my 4G modem. Previously there was no problem, however since I change my 4G modem to Olax MC50, I cannot connect to the internet via ethernet cable.
My setting is 4G modem > Router (OpenWrt) > Wifi & Ethernet.
However since using the new 4G modem, I cannot connect to internet via ethernet but it was possible through WiFi.
Is there any setting in the OpenWrt need to be change or the modem itself was the problem?
What port on the router is used for connecting the new modem?
And we should start by looking at the configs.
Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:
If you connect a PC directly to the Ethernet port of the Olax MC50, does the PC get Internet? Make sure wifi in the PC is turned off.
If this test works, check the network status of the PC. If the Olax is using IP addresses in the 129.168.1.X range, you will need to change the LAN IP of your OpenWrt router to something outside that range, like 192.168.2.1
