Can you remove firewall4 on a dumb AP?

As the title says, I'm installing openwrt on a device with very thin flash memory. Since I am going to be not using any firewall, can I remove the firewall4 package from the image? Or will this cause other issues or security concerns?

there's no firewall used on a dumb AP, so no, it won't do any harm.
however, just uninstalling it, won't free up any space, rather the opposite.

use the online image builder to create an image stripped of the packages
you don't need on a dumb AP.

I intend to do so, yes. Thanks

You can also remove dnsmasq and odhcpd, as these are managed by your main router.
