I just jumped to OpenWrt 25.12.2 and can not update available packages to then install packages. I was just trying to update the package lists because the upgrade doesn't bring over things like wireguard so I need to reinstall it but all I get is

How did you get to 25.12? Did you use OWUT/ASU? Or a manual flash? If a manual flash, did you use the default/standard image or did you customize with your packages?
And did you at any point install wget?
I used the sysupgrade flash images for my model, I haven't installed anything because I can't. Zero customization other than the "keep" bit on upgrade so it didn't wipe my wireguard settings from the 24.x install.
I'm digging through other stuff as this looks like the router just flat out can't resolve openwrt.org now.
OK cue premature question and "that was wierd." I manually set local DNS for the WAN interface and now I can hit openwrt.org. Sorry to have bothered you. Everything else worked flawlessly after the flash so this was strange.
*Spoke too soon, I'm finding a lot of things have been lost/broken with the new flash. I'm going to have to read up on how to keep various other things when reflashing or this will become a real nightmare to update.
