Can a closed amazon-eero be used to extend an openwrt router's mesh?

I am about to replace an amazon Eero 6 that the ISP left installed with a "Linksys E8450 (aka. Belkin RT3200)"

Instead of trashing the Eero, anyone know if I can repurpose it in any way as a mesh extender?

edit: i mean, unless i can install openwrt on it. but last i checked i need extremely advanced hardware hacks https://markuta.com/eero-6-hacking-part-2/

Normally no support, you can still aim for ethernet backhaul aka dumb AP.
