Bullet AC - Unable to save settings or flash firmware

Hello,

I'm new to OpenWrt and have been playing around with it on a Ubiquiti Bullet AC IP67 (2WA).

I put version 8.7 firmware on the device and followed the instructions here:

I installed OpenWrt v23.05.0 on it and can get into the device all fine, however, every time I restart the device it will return back to the original settings. No matter what I do it seems to always go back to the initial v23.05.0 install.

I have tried installing new packages, flashing new firmware (v23.05.2) through the luci sysugrade, the original v23.05.0 firmware through sysupgrade and older v21.02.7 firmware. In every case on reboot the device is back at initial OpenWrt v23.05.0.

I was able to revert back to stock oem firmware through tftp system recovery.

I tried v23.05.2 from factory but end up in the same situation where nothing persists.

There is a bug that affects a small handful of Ubiquiti devices, including yours. Roll back to 22.03 and you should be good (you could also try rolling forward to 23.05.2 to see if it has been resolved, but I think the bug still exists in all 23.05 versions to date)

Just to start off - I know there are many posts about the settings not saving, but I have been unable to get mine to work with any of the solutions that were suggested in those.
