Build for Linksys EA9500

Nope unfortunately, V2 is a 64bit quad core router - completely new architecture. Btw, I own a Asus GT-AC5300 which uses the same SoC/architecture. When I have enough time I'll take stab at that - but no promises

i have a second EA9500 and i also upgraded that one, but I'm getting still this errors in the kernel log

this router also only gives me 2 wireless networks.
I had this issue since I got this one 1 month ago.

This part of the log on the router that gives me 3 devices looks like this

Any idea or should your last image solve this?

Here is my /etc/config/wireless

I'm not sure why this should happen. Did you upgrade to latest firmware using serial port as mentioned in the notes?

yes I did just as you have explained. I compiled my own firmware as well and have the same things with your and my firmware.

It seems to work otherwise and I don't need to have the 3rd wireless.

The errors worry me a little bit so

Do you think maybe reloading the original firmware could help.
How would you load this? The same commands over serial as we load lede onto the device?
I might give it a try.

Yes try it and let me know.

I'm out of town for a week but will try when i come back
should the regular serial command work with the original image

flash -noheader 192.168.1.10:/openwrt.trx nflash0.trx

as it is not a trx file

Download the Non-US firmware, strip out the 256 bytes at the end and save it as trx. It will work.

I just tried before I left out of town

Thanks That worked now I got 3 radios going! I could not log into the firmware somehow the username was Taylor? But I just uploaded LEDE again and so far so good
Still some of these

mtd_read error while parsing (offset: 0x52C0000): -74

but otherwise ok

I am trying to load LEDE on my EA9500 NA Version 1.0 with the latest OEM build however no mater what I try (GRND; TX; RX; Empty and GRND; RX; TX; Empty) I am unable to get an output on my PuTTY client (BAUD 115200, No Parity, No Flow Control, 1 Stop Bit, 8 Data bits)

The router(s) work normally so it is not a problem with their functionality, I tried a different version of windows and I am at a point of losing it. I just restored my WRT 1900 AC to stock on both partitions using the same loadout so I know my USB to UART adapter/environment works.

Can someone help me with getting LEDE set up ?

Test

Did you follow this?

Make sure you connect three wires. This is how you should connect:

Header is:

[GND, TX, RX, VCC]:arrow_backward:

So you should connect your serial wires as:

GND wire to [GND] header
RX wire to [TX] header
TX wire to [RX] header

Remember to get correct usb-to-serial cable. Adafruit cable has following wires:

The black wire is GND
The green wire is RX
The white wire is TX

The red wire is VCC and you should leave that out.

I suspect your usb-to-ttl cable is not 3.3V logic.

I got everything connected. I followed the instructions for the may 3rd build but I never got ecc errors. The first time I flashed it I forgot to reset the boot partition but after that it seems fine. It booted openwrt. I shouldn't have any issues. Right?

you should be fine

Just installed the latest build on my EA9500 but whenever I try to connect to the routers WiFi network, all my devices report incorrect password. Any ideas?

How did you install it? If you flashed using UI it will result in incorrect password errors.

If you followed the instructions, I'd say reset your router and restart. Then setup your WiFi.

Installed it using the instructions (CFE, TFTP). I have restarted the router and even repeated the flashing process a few times but no matter what I try, all devices report incorrect password.

Did you try open access point i.e without any security?

Without any encryption/security set on the wifi all my devices are able to connect.

This problem only happens whilst using encryption on the WiFi, when the network is open, everything is able to connect to the network.
