Thanks for pointing in the right direction, I completely missed [https://forum.openwrt.org/t/mini-tutorial-for-dsa-network-config/96998](https://forum.openwrt.org/t/mini-tutorial-for-dsa-network-config/96998) which has the correct way to configure vlan bridges in DSA.
