Bricked EAP245v3 and TFTPD always reboots inbetween

Hi everyone,
I messed up and bricked my EAP245v3 when I tried to return to stock firmware due to slow transfer speeds.

I accidentally tried to flash the v4 firmware :man_facepalming:

I can successfully connect via TFTPD both with TFTPD64 and with Serva but both fail to complete the upload. It seems time related because when I upload at 1 Gbit/s I get to around 3 MB and when I set to 10 MBit/s I get to around 1.5 MB.

TFTPD64:

I also tried flashing OpenWRT (openwrt-25.12.1-ath79-generic-tplink_eap245-v3-squashfs-factory.bin) but that also failed in a very similar fashion:
Connection received from 192.168.1.1 on port 2215 [01/08 22:19:31.046] Read request for file <EAP245v3_up.bin>. 10MBit/s:
when I set to 10MBit/s full duplex as fixed ethernet speed, it fails sooner or rather, uploads even less:

Can anybody think of how I can fix this? Can the flash be "full" due to the upload of the v4 firmware? Or something else like that?

I tried different timeouts etc.
Both apps seem to upload twice, i.e. they start one upload and then start another. But no third. And both fail.
I have tried releasing Reset immediately and holding it the whole time.

Thank you everyone for your help

Alex

I have managed to get the WebUI running but it is so far not accepting any of my firmwares. Is this because I accidentally tried to flash the v4 before? Or do I need a special file?

Tried

and old

I now have access to U-Boot.

I searched the threads but I am unclear what to do now. Which image and which commands. I am hesitant to follow some AI's approach.
Does anybody have an instruction? I could not find one despite so many "brick" threads.

Managed to flash OpenWRT. I had to follow an old thread for changing mtd5.
