BPI R4 Zaram Transceiver problem

I have a weird problem. In the Netherlands we have KPN as ISP
To make things work with KPN i need a Sfp+ module with ONT integrated.
There are 3 Sfp+ transceivers that are known to work for this ISP.
1> fritzbox sfp.. but that only works with a Fritzbox
2> Zaram transceiver with KPN firmware..
3> FS with ONT

I bought the Zaram transceiver. but it is not recognized by the BPI R4
Not at all. It is Sfp+ so it should be recognized..
The transceiver works in other devices, just not in de BPI R4

Anyone else with this weird problem ?

The driver for the Zaram ZXOS11NPI XGS-PON ONU SFP+ module is the ltq-ifxos driver in the Linux kernel. This driver supports the ZX300 SoC used in the module.

i tried to find the kmods for it but appearantly they are all gone ?

The driver is limited to few arches, if you build for pc or rasberry and it works go ahead with PR?

What is in ubus call system board ?

Module is fully functional and working great i.c.m KPN in the netherlands.
speeds are around 4 Gbit up and down.

Speeds and reliability are pretty good

Nice, want to make a PR?

I have to decline

i have no idea what and how etc etc. I,m pretty sure there are enough young and ambitious men and women on this forum that can easely do that

Easily like move to Netherlands, get an internet connection and test the module?

haha,, i,m old.. and frankly even posting on forums like this is something i rarely do..

You can also fill GH issue, stating how you tested, what source patch you applied etc. Will be a bit slower but ultimately will result in kmod package.

Good liuck with that
