Bpi-r4 mt7996e dBm limited

Trying to setup my bpi-r4 with the mt7996e board and I noticed that the signal was pretty week on certain points of the house. Checking the txpower and I noticed that the max is 7.0 dBm.
Looking at my other openwrt router and the dBm is set to 20.
Does anybody knows if this is a limitation on the driver or if I have a misconfiguration somewhere?

I have the same issue with the radio 0 and 1 (2.4Ghz and 5GHz)

Yep, it's same case for me. both 2.4 and 5 have weak signal, max at 7dBm.

No, My 2.4ghz is 20dBm, 5ghz is 26dBm and 6ghz is 23dBm

Could paste your output? And the openwrt version that you are using?

BusyBox v1.36.1 (2024-12-23 00:55:35 UTC) built-in shell (ash)

are you using a specific country on your configuration?

GB is what I'm using since it's where I live

There is also this thread in the BananaPI Forum but still no idea what is happening
