Got a BPi R4 running 25.12.2 and it's rock solid apart from reboot, either from an ssh login or from LuCI pretty much never working. It seems it's hanging on waiting for something to be released, but never is.
Any ideas how I find out what's responsible?
any additional packages/software installed ?
can you reproduce it if you reflash it with the standard image ?
Lots of additional packages. It tends to reboot fine with the stock image. I need some way to monitor the shutdown to see where it's locking. The wan interface will ping from externally indefinitely but all other functions are dead.
serial, but I'd start by stopping one non essential service after another, see if something takes forever to stop.
Serial I can do but it will have to wait until I'm on site which will be a week or so.
I had something like this when adguardhome yaml file was misconfigured.
i’m also experiencing hangups on reboots on my R4 (4G RAM, two SFP+) but it’s not constant, it happens every now and then. It started after upgrading to 25.12.2. Pulling power for a bit will lead to a successful system load.
I haven’t had hang ups rebooting. Only extra packages I add are luci-app-irqbalance luci-ssl luci-app-nextdns. I do not have wifi either, dedicated access point. But, I keep having an issue where I cannot talk to a bunch of devices on 25.12. They get an IP from the router, you just can’t talk to them in anyway. Seems to be my devices on my 2.4 Ghz wifi.
