[BPI-R3] My ONU MA5671A doesn't work, but works on Mikrotik RB4011

yes, I'm connected to my ISP with this SFP Transeiver.

My ISP is not using a shared passive GPON port. My ISP provides a AON fiber connection port.

ok i understand.

hooo i just discovered this today :

  1. G-010S-P and other models will not expose ethernet interface unless fiber cable is connected (link-ok, rate 1Gbps)

:upside_down_face:

i made most of my tests without the fiber cable attached to the ONU

EDIT:
still no luck, even starting up with the fiber connected, it's the same thing :sob: :sob:

Hi just to keep you upto date.

i used the debian iso from the wiki here :

finally we found the root cause of my problem :

all you had to do was connect the fibre, without which it was impossible to ping the module!

I didn't want to cut the internet during my tests, so I kept my fiber on my main router... :joy: i wasted 10+ days on this :zipper_mouth_face:

It turns out that phylink does not set the link up, if the LOS signal is active.

The LOS signal will only go low, when the fiber is connected and has a signal.
