Hi all, can I ask you your opinion about the bests 5G router with sim card slot that have openwrt support? I don't need that transmit wireless SSID, I need only that can provide internet connection to a wired pc.

define "best" ...
why a router and not a simple modem if you only need connectivity for a single PC?
best in term of openwrt compatibility, performance and price in this order.
I monitor remotely the pc, I think a router is more reliable.
Whats your budget and location?
for monitoring a 4g only device would be much cheaper and have similar results as a 5g one
chipper is better, the location is a van conditioned.
yes 5g is better
The router could be very simple, I need only one LAN port and one slot for a sim card (4G/5G).
by location we mean country - were are you buying your device from ?
Italy (EU)
5g - RM520N-GL 5G HAT for Raspberry Pi with Case, Quad Antennas LTE-A, Global Band, GNSS Positioning, Support 3GPP 16, 4G/3G (waveshare.com) - 254$ + shipping (+ rpi board ~50$)
4g - [OpenWrt Wiki] ZTE MF286D - 60-70 euro shipped (see ebay)
if you want something priced in between - 5G compatible - you need to buy the parts yourself - raspberry pi board + pci-e HAT board + fibocom fm350-gl 5G card + antennas + case and assemble everything yourself - should get you below 200$
LE - there is also Zyxel NR7101 - albeit an outdoor device - about 250$ + shipping on ebay
Later Later edit - [OpenWrt Wiki] Arcadyan / Astoria AW1000 about 150$ on https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007603101234.html
Thank you maurer, in effect I forgot to mention another features I need on the router: sometimes the SIM get a low signal so I would like to have the possibility to substitute the cellular antenna to gain more signal. Do you know some models that have external cellular antennas? I fear that assembling raspberry is too much for me...
all devices I've listed support external antennas or external mounting (Zyxel NR7101)
the Arcadyan / Astoria AW1000 is a good found. thanks.
even the ZTE MF286D?
The Arcadyan seems to be great, but it's for work, should I have an invoice, buy directly in china... there is no vendors in EU?
Furthermore the antennas to receive the LTE/5G signal are the same to transimit WIFI signal?

No 5g though, but cheap, if bought used, but I guess price isn't an issue for you.
Couple of options:
BananaPi BPI-R4 + M.2 4G/5G Module https://docs.banana-pi.org/en/BPI-R4/GettingStarted_BPI-R4#_4g_5g_module
GL.iNet X3000 https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/gl.inet/gl.inet_gl-x3000
TP-Link X80-5G https://openwrt.org/inbox/toh/tp-link/x80-5g_v1 (pending support) https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/16329
(ps: I did not check whether these provide a sim card slot)
