I've only used TFTP once before but it's not making sense per this guide.
Questions;
- Guide includes settings for TFTP ini file; MAC address; that's the MAC of my network card I'm using on my computer to connect to the router, correct?
- Same line, IP address; that seems like the IP address I should have in that network card 192.168.1.250, BUT guide later has me set the IP to 192.168.1.2, is that a mixup? Wouldn't that conflict with the IP the router will pull via DHCP per the IP_Pool config setting?
- On final run of TFTP it has a drop down to select network card, you'd think that should select the network interface we set up per the config file but it isn't. Does that matter? Difficulty here is as the router reboots the interface goes down/up which switches that drop down. I don't know if I need to keep switching that drop down or what.
Additionally if someone here has edit ability on that guide this needs to be added to get method 1 to work. Probably method 2 too.

Workaround
After upgrading RouterOS, you may notice that the RouterBOARD settings have been disabled. If you try updating the Boot OS to "SwOS", a message saying "not allowed by device-mode (6)" may appear.Starting in RouterOS version 7.17, device-mode restricts SwOS/RouterOS transition for dual-boot. In order to enable it, type this into the terminal:
system/device-mode/update routerboard=yesand then quickly press the physical reset button within the time limit displayed. Or unplug power works too.
