Banner in LuCI

Is there a way to add a custom banner to LuCI, similar to /etc/banner for ssh? I want to display some information in LuCI preferably on the login page and without having to login?

Edit the login page with static text, or extend its functionality with a banner content.

There is already the warning banner in the generic header about missing password (in some themes)

Thx, but I was hoping to avoid having to modify any source files...
