Bananapi BPI-R3 24.10.0

Hello, I am asking for quick help. I upgraded to 24.10.0 without 100% certainty and unfortunately a problem occurred. Please advise me on what to do. Thank you.

My opinion:Clean install ,Start boot on SDcard and after install in nand or nand => EMMC.

thanks for the answer, wouldn't it be a simpler solution to go back to 23.05.5

if necessary, can you advise which version to download but with luci

after turning it off and on from the network the yellow message disappeared and I'm back on the old version, but without work. I'll leave it like that for now. Thanks for the help

can you advise how to successfully update from 23.05.5 to 24.10.0

Please advise which file to download with luci

The one you highlighted.

  1. is it for an upgrade that didn't work, or will it work now?
  2. if I needed a clean install on eMMC (sdcard), is luci there too?

no one can help, I would like to upgrade to 24.10 [Solved]

I don't own a BPi-R3 (yet), so this is something i compiled from various sources.
As far as i remember, there've been some changes from 23.05 to 24.10 so you can't do a direct sysupgrade.
Instead you should back up your configuration, write the whole image to a sd-card and boot from it. Then it's best to not write the config back to the new system, but use it only as a human-readable template and set up the router manually.
In this image, there should be LuCI integrated (because it's an official release and no snapshot version).

Edit:
To be on the safe side, use a new sd-card and keep the old one as a security measure.
So if anything goes wrong with the new version, you could just swap the cards and restart the old system.

thanks, I did a clean install ,Start boot on SDcard in nand => EMMC.

Fine, that you got it running.
