I am currently using the BPI-R4. Initially i was on 21.10.0 RC2 and neither radio 0 worked, plus radio 2 which was WIFI7 refused all clients. Since moving to RC4, radio 2 has been fixed and WIFI6E works on it etc.
However i still have an issue with Radio 0 not starting. Ideally i would like my clients to use Radio 1 and the 5Ghz band SSID i have setup, but three devices in my home (2 Sony Bravia TVs and a HP Printer refuse to connect to it.)
Sony Bravia says cannot find network even after you have entered the password. Printer says invalid/unacceptable encryption used, this is even after downgrading security from WPA3 to WPA3/WPA2 MIXED.
AX Mode, 5Ghz Band, Channel 149, Width 80Mhz, Country GB. Power default driver.
With this in mind, i tried to set radio 0 to SSID IOT on 2.4Ghz Band to get the printer and TVs working, but even if i try the exact same settings from radio 1 or 2, it never starts. So there seems to be a problem with this radio starting at all, even with ultra basic WIFI like 2.4Ghz.
The logs mention permission in hostapd, but why would only 1 radio not work with this file?
I am also getting terrible WIFI range. My current ISP router is from Virgin Media and has internal ariels, this one has 6 external but it does not reach as far, not sure if i have messed up the power settings?
