Hi everyone,
first of all a big thank you to everyone working on bringing the BPI-R4 Pro to mainline OpenWrt – really appreciated! ![]()
I'm following PR #21083 and I can see there's still a lot going on (MXL86252C switch driver, Maxime's combo-port/PHY-mux series, usxgmii PCS, etc.). Since the PR is currently marked as WIP, I wanted to ask:
Is there any rough estimate yet on when official OpenWrt support for the BPI-R4 Pro could realistically land in a snapshot / stable release? Or is it really still 'when it's ready', mostly depending on Maxime's series landing upstream (kernel 7.0?)?
No pressure at all – just trying to plan a bit. Thanks again to everyone involved!
I bought one of these recently, let me know what needs to be done to get this working out of master
