i dont own this device but had a mt76 based device in the past, i know about their hw offloading (wed).

the dev crypto stuff probably doesnt do anything when it comes to wifi as any sort of offloading probably gets handled by the driver -> firmware -> chipset. at least thats the case with my ipq807x devices.

none the less, not a bad result!

About mbedtls vs openssl -> on mbedtls its like...it has a small drop, as if it were choking, then it starts working normally. Similar I got on AX3200, or maybe it is just my feeling.

The official BPI build has very flaky WiFi in my experience. Sometimes I get throughput upwards of 2 Gbps, sometimes it's the same as yours or worse, sometimes one of the radios would stop working entirely, etc. Rebooting the router, toggling radio on and off, switching connection between different bands usually helps restore the speed. You could try that to at least rule out a hardware issue with your device such as loose pigtail connection. This is nothing more than a tech demo thrown together to showcase and test capabilities of BPI-R4 until mainline OpenWrt support is mature enough.

As per the latest firmware released by them on 06/2024 its giving me as speeds of the ethernet .....

I installed the Latest driver for WIFI on my computer but no improvement

On BPI-R4 System that developed by BPI-R4 Company
I'm getting same speeds on WIFI for all devices ....

Opinion: (maybe right or wrong)
I think BPI-R4 image (by company) using Driver on their build for WiFi that matching with most of devices WiFi but this image by developing team here (Thanks for their efforts) its not matching with all Devices driver ...

You can do it in the for or create package by yourself. I just added kmods, because I think that might be useful and that's it.

@KFO it is very very strange, to not say impossible. Could you completely disconnect the cables from the antenna and then put it one by one and check if it is fine? I guess you updated whole system via UART (u-boot, recovery etc.)? It should not be related, but let's make a clear stage to continue discovering whats going on.
Could you also paste:

once again do librespeedtest-go instead of speedtest and paste logread + dmesg on gist.github.com or somewhere else? It is really odd that you can not make better performance.

We are waiting for MediaTek to release the firmware binaries needed for 2+3+3 layout of MT7995/6. There are experimental patches for the mt76 driver (see BananaPi forum), however, using them requires the firmware files which haven't yet been released to the public. (Note: using the firmware files which are part of the BPi stock firmware does not work because they are intended for the proprietary driver and not for mt76).

See this series on patchwork adding support for the 2+3+3 and other variants, as well as this pull request adding the necessary firmware files.

And yes, those files have already been published also on mtk-openwrt-feeds a while ago for builds with the open source mt76 driver, but they are different from those used in the SinoVoip/BananaPi stock firmware which uses the proprietary driver.

Basically Simon recommends 19 V, but says it accepts 9-24 V looking at the capacitor next to it, it is rated just 25 V according to schematics, so 24 V is perhaps a bit on the edge?
