Thank you for this solution I have same issue on Official Sanpshot OpenWRT ( latest update) ,, I reported this issue before 3 months but I think still OpenWRT team didn't fix it ( I Know they are busy with a lot of activities but maybe one day will they will fix it ) @daniel Please can you extend your support to add this solution For OpenWRT firmware for BPI-R4 (Snapshot) I appreciate your efforts Mr. Danial & Mr .abunezar

I tried OpenWRT Image Mr. rmandrad ... from his github path but i'm getting low speeds "limited speeds" on Laptop using Qualcomm wifi chip

When I tried Our Dear @woziwrt build (latest one) I got full speeds

[Banana BPI-R4] all related to MTK-SDK Community Builds, Projects & Packages

In this release is included the kmod-tun package and you can remove all packages you don't require BPI-R4_MLO_beta_2_extended

but on Mr.woziwrt build after time (hours) the speeds will drop to very low speeds around 90Mb/s , on Ethernet i'm getting 800Mb/s

I use OpenWRT compile from @rmandrad repository https://github.com/rmandrad/openwrt/tree/bananapi4
Work very nice, I have thick brick walls in my apartment but the speeds are decent
I have no problems with the power setting
In addition, I have installed irqbalance

if no .... then you will not face any issue ... already mentioned by number of peoples on OpenWRT ticket for BPI-R4 openWRT doesn't support devices that has Quaclomm chip like pic

Regarding EHT320 - is there a specific reason one needs to use JP country code? I read something about outdated regulation tables (sorry, only did a quick search on this thread and 320MHz, but it is a lot of results to read through)?
In Germany it is allowed to use this bandwidth (didn't find an official regulative article on it, but the most prominent German producer of WiFi gear explicitly advertises it, therefore I am pretty sure it is allowed).

So in a nutshell 2,4+5GHz-channels will stay with 160MHz and 6GHz-channels may someday in the future get 320MHz for ETSI/CPT countries.

The only thing weird is, that I can currently set 2,4GHz to EHT320 in config and the SSIDs will come up even if there is only 260MHz of bandwidth available in 2,4GHz-band...

This increases the allowed bandwidth from 160 to 320 MHz for the 5945-6425 MHz band to support 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) EHT-320 for the ETSI/CEPT harmonized countries (EU + CH/LI/NO and TR). Previously the bandwidth limit was set to 160 MHz to match 802.11ax (including the 6 GHz extension called Wi-Fi 6e). This limit is not supported by the current regulatory documents and should be relaxed to 320 MHz. The 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) standard defines EHT-OFDMA for a 320 MHz bandwidth. Devices (both AP and STA) supporting and using this are widely available now. The "6 GHz" band starting at 5945 MHz is the prime target for these wide channels. In the ETSI/CEPT harmonized countries the 5945-6425 MHz range has been allocated to WLAN. It can contain one 320 MHz channel centered at channel 31 (6105 MHz) and one overlapping channel at centered at 63 (6265 MHz). btw, if someone will update u-boot to newer version (2025.01) and is using WED, the bootargs changed:

@gsustek Sadly no news.
Had to hand out the second BPI-R4 to its original owner and lost my "Qualcom wifi test device".
Therefore tests and tinkering with that module are massively delayed (or may happen never - can't promise anything right now without a test & tinker unit).
Right now I would propose the BE-14 module as good daily driver for the BPI-R4 and would focus on that.

WLE7002E56 in contrast with WMX8402 has dbdc between 5 and 6 GHz, while WMX8402 can have only one at the time.....

btw: @DroZDi or anyone else, what i can expect from WLE7002E56 wifi module.

for me perbectly would be that i can run booth 5 and 6 GHz in same time.
i have minipc(mini PCI-3.0 1-wire) x86 with ubuntu running, there already is running WLE1216V5-20 for 5 years...

perfectly i would like ot run all three bands an use MLO at least for 5 and 6 GHz, do not know how much 2.4GHz helps for MLO which this card is missing.

my goal is to have 2Gbps/1Gbps internet speed also available via WiFi.. i already have 2.5Gbps ethernet capability.. can i achieve it with this card?

for me main problem is.... openwrt and ath12k

because of openwrt vanilla kernel I had to give up to work on openwrt and go to BPI-Router.
ath12k has been developed a lot and many changes are applied to newest version of the kernel.
yesterday, I started over my ath project as I had to prepare new env based on kernel 6.14 + ath branch included.
what we can expect from qualcomm card? I dont know We will see.

I noticed also many commits for medtiatek 7996 on new kernel which could be very interesting for you If someone is interessted in BE14 tests on it, I can share my base image BPI-Router, kernel6.14, Debian trixie
