Banana BPI-R3 Mini - how to use rest of eMMC space for /overlay?

Hi guys,

I’m working on a BPI-R3 Mini to create my custom 5G router with a Quectel module.

I’ve currently installed last OpenWrt snapshot on both NAND and eMMC, but for this one I want to extend the /overlay to the rest of the space.

I’ve seen that /overlay is mounted from /dev/fitrw that’s a UBIFS volume, so I cannot increase more than 101MB (because looks like that the image for eMMC is hard limited to the same size of NAND one).

I’ve tried to extend with partd the underlying mmc block, but I cannot resize fit volume because the PEB size was fixed during UBI image create.

There is a way to solve this problem without recompile the image from scratch?

Thanks in advance

anyone can help me?
As i've understood, from the snapshot fitblk is used on Mediatek and other target, this one will create a fit UBI volume that is fixed size based on rootfs max file size (that it's 101MB).

I've tried, using firmware selector, to remove fitblk package, but it still added to the build, so no way to use raw partition :frowning:

Thanks in advance!
