I have OpenWRT Barrier Breaker r34054 (with LuCI) installed on my Netgear WNDR3700 v1 and quite happy for many years without any single problem. Now I want to flash the latest available firmware. Is it possible to backup somehow my current image together with all configuration data in order to be able to restore it in case if new firmware will be unstable/failed etc.?

Wndr3700 v1 works ok with the current releases.
Just upgraded. WiFi stop working. WiFi button doesn't work. WiFi leds not flashing. LuCi says that interfaces are enabled. Any ideas?
Hopefully you did not keep settings...
Barrier Breaker 14.07 is so old, that settings have changed since then e.g. regarding network interfaces.
Yes you should not have tried to save settings. On a clean new install, WiFi is disabled by default. You need to set it up to turn it on.
I just upgraded through LuCi. Should I do clean install (TFTP?).
Just use LuCI to reset to default settings. You don't have to flash again.
