Backup/restore settings between routers

I have a WAX203 and a WAX206, how likely am I to be able to backup setting from one and sue on the other? I was thinking to remove references to MAC addresses and LAN ports, sine those would seem to be the only differences. However, as the WAX202 is supported and WAX206 is still on snapshot, is it possible the differences are greater and I risk messing a router up by doing this?

The reason is serviceability of a router remotely, I want to be able to test settings locally, and then upload remotely. Unfortunately the WAX203 I have is no longer produced and is very hard to find, all I could find now is a WAX206.

Thanks!

This has been asked multiple times already, so without going into details - no. Backups are not transferable between different models, they aren't even safe to apply to a different device of the same model (because of the MAC addresses).
