Hello Community
When I want to upload the openwrt image to the router in the tmp directory I always get the error message
/usr/bin/dbclient: Warning: failed creating /root/.ssh: Read-only file system
Am I doing something wrong?
That's an error on the client, not the Openwrt device.
What do I have to do to make it work? Somehow a tip
try WinSCP or similar tool
And then with the same command?
WinSCP lets you upload files to the router via convenient UI, eliminating the need to use the command terminal to run scp /path/to/local/file root@192.168.1.1:/tmp
. This is just alternative.
Ok I'll try it out and report on it, thank you very much
hello I have now managed to install openwrt. but unfortunately I don't have wireless and I can't activate it either
Then you installed the wrong image, or didn't follow the install instruction to the end.
I went exactly according to this guide, have the Rd03 China version.
And installed the image from here:
Use the stable release, not a snapshot
Can you please give me a link where I can download this?
I've managed it now, thank you, but I'm really disappointed with the wireless connection honestly, 2.4 GHz and 5.0ghz maximum 50mbit
That is not usual behaviour, I’m get over 950mbps over 5ghz AX on my 3000T.
Make sure your clients are configured correctly and you’ve send the country code on the router to the correct country.
this is normal if there's no country configured for the wifi.
