It has happened on both wrt32000acm and Edgerouter4 so the chance has been 200% for me.
Not sure about that math.... but sure, for devices with known bugs, a periodic reboot can help until a fix is available. But, looking at the flip side of this -- if everyone did a periodic reboot, the bug wouldn't be discovered to be fixed.
