Attented Sysupgrade I update with this method, but after each update, there is an empty space in the software section. Before the update, the occupancy, which is 30%, decreases to 5%, but applications such as sqm encrypted dns continue to appear in the luci interface. I update by protecting the packages. If ASU/OWUT wouldn't retain the packages, there would be no point in creating the two tools ?
I understand, so the packages are not deleted, it comes as a completely installed package in the new update, wouldn't it be more stable and clean like this?
ASU/OWUT will place all your packages in ROM so your overlay is freed up.
Is that what you mean?

No and no.
Those are the same packages, but if you reset you won't lose them, if that's positive/negative, is for you to decide.
It frees up your overlay and in case of reset you still have all your packages as a reset restores from rom.
But what is the problem you are encountering?
