Ath9k 2.4GHz connection drops and 5GHz disconnected due to excessive missing ACKs

Hi,

Specs

  • Lede version: 17.01.0, r3205-59508e3
  • 2.4GHz:
    • radio: QCA9558
    • driver: ath9k
    • 802.11r enabled
  • 5 GHz:
    • radio: QCA9880
    • driver: ath10k
    • 802.11r enabled

Problems:

  1. when connected to 2.4GHz, devices (macbook pro and iPhone 6S) randomly loose internet, but are still connected to router. After about a minute or so they loose connection to the router and reconnect in couple of seconds and all is well.

  2. lifecycle of a single device connection: disconnected due to excessive missing ACKs on 5GHz ath10k

2.1 But so many steps for a single connection?
2.2 Radius is used because of 802.11r? Because I don't have radius server on this subnet.

For disconnected due to excessive missing ACKs I did: option disassoc_low_ack '0' is this the best option for ath10k driver?

Thanks!

It seems this thing will never gonna die ;- )
