Where i can download OpenWrt initramfs for this router and how to install it without serial console?
Try this:
https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/
ah, it works again, search was broken yesterday: https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=SNAPSHOT&target=mediatek%2Ffilogic&id=asus_tuf-ax6000
Hi everyone, can someone please tell me how to connect to this router with a USB-TTL device? It doesn't seem to have the pins so I guess that those will have to be soldered on it, but I was wondering if there's another way? This might be a dumb question but I'm curious and new to this stuff.
Edit: I think I've seen someone say that you could put the connector pins directly in the holes to make a connection on the ax4200 support page...
It's broken again.. today: The OpenWrt Firmware Selector - #662 by melroy89
For now just download the asus_tuf-ax6000 image from: https://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/targets/mediatek/filogic/
Hi. For the WAN interface MAC address is set based on the Factory ubi partition. I can improve it and increment rest of the LAN interfaces. Wifi MAC addresses can be implemented also.
Yes, that would be great ![]()
All explained here:
I saw that but was unable to understand how he connected the goldpin wires since the holes are kinda small, but maybe he got them to sit on the holes where the goldpins would be and get contact from just that, I'll try again today since I had no time in the last two days ^^ thx.
I cant manage to install any packages properly, everytime I run opgk install I get the following error message (Installed latest SNAPSHOT of today):
I would love to get luci working.
It seems to be a known issue with snapshot builds.
You can specify necessary packages when using the firmware selector (https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=SNAPSHOT&target=mediatek%2Ffilogic&id=asus_tuf-ax6000) page and expand the „Customize installed packages and/or first boot script“ and add your packages there.
Then a custom image is built for you.
After my first snapshot installation I was able to install packages, after the second I wasn‘t, not sure why.
This should be solved after intregration in the main branch ![]()
Show result of command: cat /etc/opkg/distfeeds.conf
I did use the firmware selector, still same problem.
Hmm, it seems like the firmware is not actually updating when I run the sysupgrade command. When I open the terminal it says its: OpenWrt SNAPSHOT, r24265-3fc42b1fe5.
Any leads why that might be the case?
what .trx file?... where u download trx?
did you add your required packages before building the custom image? (see image below)
i know it's not a perfect solution, but helped in my case.
i was still not able to install some specific packages afterwards via opkg, but to be honest, i only need a small subset, so this workaround was sufficient for me.
e.g. this would add "luci" (plus all necessary dependencies) to the image, you need to click on "request build" after you added your packages.
Remittors .trx file. See the links in the first post.
Yes, but as you can see, the luci package is already listed prior to you adding it at the end.
