I get nothing at all. No u-boot nothing, although device opens up the LAN ports leds, then off. Then only power led is on.
Either this, or your serial connection is broken.

Well, if one router works and the other don't there're not many other possibilities. When there's nothing else except the glowing power led then your router is definitely broken. From broken bootloader to missing voltage, there're many possible faults.
Hmm adapter, maybe that is broken. But didn't want to push too far with this one, sent it to ASUS.
