" @remittor Could you create rtx image with default english language? Almost no one uses the Cyrillic alphabet. This alphabet could effectively limits the audience for your images.
best regards,"
How did you change the language from Russian to English?
Thanks.
I would like to recommend some additional steps for the Asus TUF AX4200 support when a person is configuring the router from out of the box since I just did it.
Currently the steps missing are:
select the top option of setting up the router for the first time
the values entered here don't matter since all you are trying to do is get the default interface. Highly recommend capturing what you entered just in case
Once at the default web interface look for "Administration" in the left side menu
Once at "Administration" look on the right side for upgrade firmware
Hi there, I just get my new router up and running and I want to turn off all of the LEDs. For some reason, the only device that I see available for the WAN LED is "red:wan" and setting it to always off doesn't disable this light, it keeps flashing white.
These are the options that I have for LEDs in LuCI:
I've got OpenWRT 23.05.4 installed.
Has this issue been resolved already and I'm just missing a setting or a patch?
Two of three cover lights are not supported currently by OpenWRT. You can try test and map gpios but we don't which gpios are responsible for these colors.
Okay, glad to know I didn't miss anything. I'd be happy to tear the thing apart and figure it out myself, but I still have a warranty that I want to keep. Maybe in a few years.
Hi everyone. So I tried to flash back the stock asus firmware using remittor method of the GUI interface. The stock trx was from the Asus site and it is the very first version.
I got it flashed - obviously waiting 70 and then 120s. I changed my computer ip to the specified IP in the instructions but I can't access the Asus start up settings page. I tried www.asusrouter.com and 192.168.1.1.
I also powered down the router and back up.
Any suggestions? Should I do a hard reset like what is stated on the Asus website?
My model was configured to use the ip address 192.168.50.1. Did you check what ip address your router is actually using after the update? You can do so by hooking up your computer to its LAN interface and checking its ethernet configuration (ifconfig/ipconfig/etc)...
It's the same filogic 830 so if you're just looking for raw power for VPN, QoS or other CPU intensive tasks, it's the same.
Though, the asus has less RAM, only one 2.5Gbit port and radio is also inferior.
I try to install openwrt. Initramfs started well, but when I tried to flash sysupgrade the router bricked. The power+LAN leds and the wireless leds flash in turns. I tried to reflash firmware with Firmware Restoration app, but it not work. Looks like everything is fine, but nothing happend. Which firmware file what I should use, or how I can debrick the device?
