Asus RT-N12+ Router with 64MB Flash!

Hi,

I have only been a user of openwrt. I have opened my Asus RT-N12+ and found it mostly matching the specs except that the Flash chip I found is 64MB and not 8MB. Is it possible to write openwrt on this board now?
Also since the MT7620N has USB2 support is it possible to wire up a new USB2 port somehow from this board?

Are you sure you're not confusing Mb and MB? Because 64 Mb (megabit) is 8 MB (megabyte).

As for USB: if you can expose the traces (or if there are headers already) you can surely wire a USB connector to the board.

You are right. It was 64Mb - MX25L6406EM2I-12G. Thats why I was wondering for few hours why is my board showing better specs.
Thanks.
