Hello Guys,
I have Asus RT AX53U router. I want to use it as a wifi repeater .On the openwrt firmware , its 5Gh band is not visible to any device.However, its working fine , in the stock firmware.I am not a technical person, so i dont have much knowledge.Guys please help me in this regard.Any reply would be highly appreciated.

Typically 5ghz spends few minutes detecting radar before enabling radio transmissions.Should be exactly same if OEM AsusWRT detected correct location at first start.

Set 5ghz channel to auto since it is dictated by sta chosen access point.
Set country code on both radios, it is required for ch12-13 in 2.4 and ch !36 in 5ghz operation.
... is EOL, you should at least upgrade to .5, or 24.10.1.
