Asus RT-AC59U V2 HW info

Hi,

I just bought Asus RT-AC59U V2
I knew openwrt has not support this one...
the device have some nice standard software feature (not advertise on its website) :

  • dual WAN (WAN and USB cellular modem) for load balance or fail over
  • WPA3 personal (no wpa3 enterprise)

but NO PrintServer support for USB

may be someone interested with its hardware info and produce Openwrt build ?

The TechInfoDepot specs on the RT-AC59U (version not specified)...

With 16 MB of flash and 128MB of RAM, it's on the lower end of the current requirements for running OpenWRT.

Also, the CPU is 775 MHz.

Might be a rebadged older QCA MIPS SoC:

@hanhan_spm This device is basically the same as v1 except it has more storage. We're working on it in this thread which is the same thread that Borromini pointed to. Expect non-functional 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for quite some time, everything else will be supported at some point.
Quick summary on models and versions:
16 MiB storage: RT-AC57U v2 == RT-AC58U v2 == RT-AC59U v1
