Asus AX59U 24.10 update question?

Hi. I want update openwrt 24.10 from 23.05.5, Should i update this kernel first? https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/24.10.0/targets/mediatek/filogic/openwrt-24.10.0-mediatek-filogic-asus_rt-ax59u-initramfs-kernel.bin

Is safety install 24.10 on the Asus routers filogic but 24.10 have new bootloader and patched mtd partitions make brick router?

Always use sysupgrade, it shows nice descriptive warnings on what to do before upgrade.
initramfs+kernel is in-memory OpenWrt to netboot router without making permanent changes.
