Assingn dns to IP

Hi all,

newbie question :slight_smile:
not sure if the topic's name is correct, but, what to I have to set if I want to assign a name to my device and put this on the URL on my browser instead of the IP?

i.e. I'm able to reach the webserver if I put 192.168.1.1; I would like to put mydevice.local

What do I have to set?

With default configuration your router is reachable from openwrt.lan
If you changed the name or the domain, the address changes accordingly.
If you want to add more, you can go to Network/Hostnames in Luci, or add domain configurations in /etc/config/dhcp.
