Assigning manual IP addresses

Hello Community,
Am fairly new to openwrt i set it up as a client for my personal wifi if that makes sense and I connected different virtual machines to it. my hosts are one the 192.168.1.X range and my virtual machines should have 192.168.10.X addresses I couldn't do it even when I go to set static ip address I choose the MAC address of the virtual machine and when I try to give it the ipv4 address it tells me that it's out of any dhcp pool.
I am using a Xiaomi Mi 4C and am sharing internet via my iphone and all of tthis is for setting an architecture for my study
Please be kind am new to this

192.168.10.X is outside a 192.168.1.X pool range.

I get that but how can I assign different IPs for different subents

create a 2nd DHCP pool ?

how to do that and thank you for taking the time

something like Dhcp_range option

Thank you will look into it

  • choosing a larger subnet (not very sensible)
  • different VLANs and subnet routing
  • finding another (~better) way of arranging your IP distribution
