Asking about porting openwrt to sga441sw

Hi there
All is almost said in the subject
Does anyone know about wether or not openwrt will be compatible with swisscom internet box plus code name sga441sw
It is pretty decent hardware configuration so I guess it can be very useful
Thanks

https://techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Siligence_SAS_SGA441SW says, that the CPU and Wifi are Broadcom. AFAIK, there are NO opensource drivers for the FXS(Phone) controllers. So, most likely, proper/full OpenWrt support will never happen. Plus, it's from 2014, so probably too slow for modern internet connections. With a lot of work, you might be able to use it as a managed switch with additional USB-over-IP functionality, or a print-server. Power consumption will probably be atrocious though for the functionality provided.

Thanks for reply
I am not 100% sure that it is from 2014 as they still put it on their website without mention end of life (after more than 10 years) , but regarding what I am seeking for , even partial support will be handy because I am using it abroad anyway so I don’t need phone, dsl, fiber and other stuff
The essentials are : Ethernet, wan, wifi, and usb sharing and that’s it

wifi is the problematic item from your list. Both the 2.4 and 5Ghz are Broadcom. The 5Ghz is a socketed mini-pci card, so you could possibly change it.

You can always try connecting to the UART, and tftp-RAM-boot an initramfs-build of Openwrt for a similar device, if the main CPU is supported (probably).

We could maybe help with that, if you connect to UART, and post a boot-log from PowerOn to UserSpace.
