Hi,
I have i doubt, i saw that many of the realtek ethernet switches are supported by OpenWRT. But in that list i doesn't specify if the reltek RTL8367S and the RTL8367N have compatibility. For what i saw, it's possible that they couls be use, but i'm not sure. Someone could help me with this??
I think that this chip is useless for openwrt.
It don't have external digital interface as rtl8367r/s that allow to put chip on the same PCB with SoC and directly connect SoC's gmac to chip digital interface (as example Tplink Archer C5 v4).
And this chip don't have internal CPU to build openwt as switchOS (as example see realtek target for rtl838x, rtl839x chips).
If I understand correctly rtl8367n chip is use for cheap external unmanaged gigabit switch device only.
My intention is to connect the rtl8367s gmac interfaces connected to mi SOC, so i can handle the ethernet connections with it. My idea is to separate 3 phy ethernets for LAN a 1 for WAN (i already discard rtl8367n because it was enough for my idea). So i think that with the rtl8367s connected to my SOC, and with openwrt, it would be enough.
