Archive.openwrt.org not answering pings

Hi All:

Using a teltonika RUT950, unable to do a opkg update or anything else.....
can't ping archive.openwrt.org.

Is it down?

Cheers,
john

@jow @thess Can you please take a look?

Hi Guys:

Any update on this?
We really need to install ip-full and openssh-sftp-server on a bunch of RUT950s so we desperately need the archive site up.
Teltonika is using chaos_calmer/15.05.1/ which I know is old but that is something I can't worry about right now as we have logistical issues with delivery trucks leaving and the like.....so I need the routers configured.

Looking forward to having the archive site back up.

Cheers,
John

I signed up to discourse as I was having this exact problem!

ping archive.openwrt.org
PING archive-01.infra.openwrt.org (81.0.124.218) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- archive-01.infra.openwrt.org ping statistics ---
35 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 34809ms

Glad to see there's an active community.

I'm not sure I can help here. This host is most likely a legacy OpenWrt machine (you mention 15.05 !) maintained by one of the OpenWrt devs themselves. You should send an email to contact@openwrt.org which goes to all developers/members regarding this issue.

Yesterday on IRC #openwrt-adm:

14:39:51 < wigyori> the archive server had a double-disk failure, so it's down
14:39:57 < wigyori> i'm restoring it from backup, not sure on the ETA
