Archer c7 ac speed

i have an archer C7 with openwrt.
Powered by LuCI openwrt-19.07 branch (git-20.247.75781-0d0ab01) / OpenWrt 19.07.4 r11208-ce6496d796

When i connect to the 5ghz wifi, i only see 300 mbits speed.
I thought the ac7 was capable of much higher ac wireless speeds?

300.0 Mbit/s, 40 MHz, MCS 15, Short GI
144.4 Mbit/s, 20 MHz, MCS 15, Short GI

At 40MHz that seems right.
80MHz should be roughly double.

ok, but why does my laptop only connect at 40 mhz then?

My phone is at these rates:
650.0 Mbit/s, 80 MHz, VHT-MCS 7, VHT-NSS 2, Short GI
234.0 Mbit/s, 80 MHz, VHT-MCS 3, VHT-NSS 2

Try non-ct drivers.for me, they work faster.

hmm, i see it only supprts 300mbits

strange thing is that connected to an deco m5, it shows 877
