Archer C50 V4 EU – Cannot install OpenWrt

Hello,

I have a TP-Link Archer C50 V4 EU.

Hardware version:
Archer C50 v4 00000002

The router is currently working normally with the latest official TP-Link stock firmware.

I want to install OpenWrt 24.10.7, but I cannot get it to install correctly.

When I try to flash OpenWrt from the stock firmware, the router refuses the image.

I also tried the recovery/TFTP method. The router enters the recovery page at 192.168.0.1, but after flashing the OpenWrt image it fails to boot and becomes bricked. I can recover it back to the stock firmware afterwards.

Could someone please tell me the EXACT correct image and installation/recovery procedure for this specific hardware revision?

In that case, I would highly advise following the Wiki instructions for you device.

Odd, because your device page says:

A tp_recovery.bin TFTP installation image is not currently available.
