Archer C2 v3 back to stock firmware

Hi there, first post here.

I'm sorry to rewamp such an old 3ad, but I need to revert my Archer C2 V3 to tp-link's original firmware
I have a tftp server running and followed your steps.. the lock led fires up for a while, then it shuts down and router keep booting openwrt firmware.

My pc is set up on 192.168.0.66/24, Gw 192.168.0.1, router is on 192.168.0.1.

am I missing anything obvious?
tried to find other info here but no luck.

for the records, I managed in unbricking my router following this howto:

recovery image's filename must be in devicenamemodel_recovery.bin format, without tp in the filename

previously I was using tftpd on linux and (don't ask me why) it didn't work
