Arcadyan VRV9510KWAC (Livebox Next) - Development Discussion

model/version can be seen where, sticker ? PCB ?

Not really. I remember having a 1-A-LT router aswell and it worked just fine. I don’t know what’s different in some routers, but for some reason they can access recovery through a combination of buttons. Maybe they have a newer firmware?

Since I don’t have phisical access to that routers, there’s nothing I can do

@Kifixo @frollic i’m stuck in last step router not booting into openwrt

That’s a very weird behaviour, it shouldn’t happen. I’ll try to check that dump to see if I find something when I have time

maybe if u have the old files u tested with i’ll use them in the wiki the kernel version in the logs is Image Name: MIPS OpenWrt Linux-5.15.132 but from using the file from arcadyan-vrv9510kwac23-utils
the kernel ver is Image Name: MIPS OpenWrt Linux-5.15.137

In my router every version I have tried for now, it works, no matter if it’s old or if it’s the newest. So I don’t know if there are some differences with that router or you jus’t have a faulty device

it’s working fine on oem i don’t think it’s faulty

issue was unsupported FW version 00.96.607B only 00.96.601J and 00.96.607J Tested working

@Kifixo was smp (dual core) working on the snapshots you made because it’s not on latest releases

Yo bro, I think we have the same router. Should I install OpenWRT? I want to know if it's working fine for you and what problems you have rn before I start

i don't recommend u to install openwrt on it unless u have a good wifi usb adapter because the one that he has dosent support 5Ghz and bareilly supports 2.4ghz in very low speed

its good if u are going to use him as an adguard device cuz it has big ram or some wifi pineapple diy

Ah, you mean the internal Wi-Fi chip doesn’t support 5 GHz? that’s a real problem. I wasn’t planning to install OpenWrt just to use a USB adapter anyway. One of the main reasons I want OpenWrt is to use WAN port for better speed, since I’m using this router as an access point and I can’t change VLAN settings in the stock firmware from Orange. OpenWrt gives full control over VLANs and the other features I need like bandwidth monitor and pkgs...
