Allowing Whatsapp through firewall

Hi everyone,

i have set up a separate network for the kids, blocking all traffic to wan beside a certain time slot. But the kids should be able to communicate with their friends through Whatsapp with their mobile phones.
Does anyone know how to define fw rules to make the possible?

Enable logging on the DNS server, see what domains is the app trying to reach, and add them on the firewall rules.
