Allow historic view of default realtime graphs

From LuCI interface: Status -> Realtime Graphs

This would be useful to look at to have historic view that can be optionally enabled with log retention. I'm specifically looking at Connections tab providing you an overview of source and destination IP with bandwidth usage and their protocol.

We have few options for this already but its not straightforward - https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/network_monitoring/

ntop - no opkg, not as simple as pressing a button to setup
bandwidthd - no package available to download from opkg either
collectd - few addons are incompatible anymore such as collectd-mod-ipstatistics, collectd-mod-iptables

I assume you're going to do this on some x86, or other device with extendable storage, since the data you want to save would fill the available space pretty quickly.

The package softflowd does this, but requires a machine to be the collector (for the data).

As frollic noted, it's not clear where you'd save such amounts of data.

why not router itself? My device has around 100GB free, I am looking for around a month worth of data, with 1 minute refresh intervals

Reread, and understand what I wrote.
