After upgrading to 25.12.2 NWA55AXE not reachable

I was updating my NWA55AXE from 24.10.2 to 25.12.2.
Unfortunately, then I was never able to access OpenWrt anymore.

It was configured in a Dump-AP mode (fixing the IP address) but during the upgrade I forced not to restore any config. So it should be back normal to 192.168.1.1.

I am using a PoE switch in between of my laptop and NWA55AXE.
It does not give me an IP address. When I set it to 192.168.1.10 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.1 I cant access 192.168.1.1 either.

It has only one RJ-45 and no button at all. I was already opening the case for the UART option, but it would require soldering first (never did that so far).

Are there any options/ideas how I can get access back?

Have a look at this:

Yeah, I couldn’t find anything without:

  • UART
  • physical button

I also tried `tcpdump -Ani eth0 port 4919 and udp` (changed eth0 accordingly).

My question, is there anything else I can try?

Even though I had no soldered UART pins on my NWA55AXE, I was able to use a male UART serial cable - works like a charm without soldering.
