it's a big shame that there is no way to use openwrt on a so strong hardware...

No news on the HHG2500 support? Is there any chance to use any other firmware?

There will be no 'news' about this device, chances for WLAN-, VDSL modem and FXS (phone-) support (drivers) are zero.
